My Nana, My Lifeline
Through the emotional years, particularly after Mom’s death by suicide, when I seemed to live from a place of never-ending heartbreak, my Nana said to me one time, “Don’t ever lose your kind heart.” Her wisdom has always pointed me to the understanding that deep sorrow, joyful gratitude and all emotions in between come from the same place.
